OUR PASSION

Qwack's Farm really is a dream come true for us. We are passionate about what we do, from animal husbandry, to growing healthy produce, to hosting guests from all around the world.

We love sharing our experience, meeting new people, tell them stories about the farm and make them fall in love with our animals and our region.

OUR STORY

Qwack's Farm journey started as a desire from our family, Chloe, Max and then baby Lou, to live a more self-sufficient life, and enjoy the serenity of country.

Originally from France, we fell in love with Western Australia, and particularly the South-West and settled in the region in 2013.

I, Chloe, studied agriculture and winemaking, and worked as a winemaker for 15 years in France, China and Australia. I have been working full-time on the farm since July 2023.

Max studied marketing and still has an off-farm job. He also brews beer in his spare time.

OUR VISION

We believe a more sustainable, ecological and resilient agriculture and food system is necessary. This is why we use regenerative practices, to improve our soil and ecosystems. We have a rotational grazing system and we don't use chemicals.

Animal welfare is of utmost importance to us. This is why we only breed for our own needs, so we don't have to send our animals to the abattoir. They are born, and then processed on the farm.

OUR FARM

Here at Qwack's Farm, we have a mix of activities :

    - animals : cows, pigs, sheep and chickens, all part of the agricultural system

- a small-scale bio-intensive market garden that feeds local families

     - a farm stay where people can unwind and enjoy a glimpse of farm life.

The property is 75 acres, with 5 ponds and a winter creek surrounded by native bush.

OUR ANIMALS

Our animals live outside all year round, as the weather is quite mild in our region. They have access to fresh water from our ponds, and nutritious grass for most of the year. If needed, we supplement hay in summer for the cows, and our pigs and chickens are also fed a mix of grains from our local feed mill.

Our cows have a gentle nature and sitting with them is highly relaxing. Our 'fluffy babies' enjoy being brushed and cuddled.

Our pigs are funny and obsessed with their food. They build themselves shelters in the bush with sticks, branches and grasses.

We have a close and trusting relation with our cows and pigs, we handle them calmly, and most of them can be patted.
